St Wendreda’s church in March has an exceptionally fine c.1500 angel roof – the angels flutter in layers above the nave. Our visit will begin at the church where we shall have an introductory talk followed by a simple lunch in the church hall.
After lunch March Museum is opening specially for us. It is run by dedicated volunteers who have put together a well-presented collection that marvellously reflects the life and stories of March and the locality, including those of heroes of both World Wars. The Chairman of the Trustees will give us an introduction and then we shall be free to explore.
